Is there a reason the possessed people take that form / is it based on the demon that is possessing them?
And are all demons based on animals?
Interested to see where this goes!

The possession is from a demon taking hold of their vessel, because they lost their soul in the process of losing all of their memories. The demon isn't really based on an animal (as of now), but I would absolutely consider making that a thing (since I still am in the process of pre-production, nothing is finalized fully)/
